A typical day with Alefa

Crème solaire Matisse Massage à bord du boutre L'heure de l'apero à bord du boutre

We normally start our days early, at six, so that we can enjoy the sunrise and listen to the birds singing. We have our breakfast, coffee, tea and fruits watching a calm sea and enjoying a cool breeze. At about eight we set sail for our next destination.
We normally plan a route of 20 – 30 km for the duration of the morning. We snorkel dive daily (+/- 1hr) en route at sites that only us visit. The marine life is exquisite, rich and alive and the variation from day to day unbelievable.
We adapt the snorkel diving to suit the group in depths of 2 – 12 meters.

Merou Plongée avec Alefa plongé

If on three day trips, fishing is not a necessity, on trips of four days and longer we need to add to our food supply.

Therefore fishing is important to all, but I would like to reassure you that the guide and sailors are excellent spear fishers and will provide in abundance.
The dive sites we visit are pristine and untouched by modern pollution, stunningly preserved, for your enjoyment.
DéchargementGod willing at about 10 H 30 in the morning a mild wind will help us towards our new bush camp so that we can arrive at about noon.
We disembark and set up camp under the trees, generally dadamier or palm trees.
After lunch we take a rest or go for a swim, just to while away the hottest hours of the day.
Once the worst of the midday heat has died down we go for a walk (1 – 2hours) and discover the nature. The fauna and flora are all-endemic and vary from site to site. If possible we visit a village where we can see the local agriculture being practised. The Sakalava farm on a subsistence basis, small rice fields and an abundance of local fruit trees, mango, lemon and coconut to name but a few, are cultivated. In some places it is possible to explore the mangrove from the comfort of the pirogue – so many options and so little time!!!!
We return to camp and hurry to the spring or river where we have a refreshing exotic shower before the sun sets. We relax and enjoy the sunset, dinnertime is coming up and sitting around the fire you wonder where the day has gone. Time flies when you are having fun!!!!!!!!! Sweet dreams and a good night …

NB: We can spend more than one night at one place if you wish. It is an opportunity to explore more of the region and get to know more of this unique universe – the land of the Sakalava.
